INTRODUCTION ON WHAT IS WORLD HUNGER:

Food insecurity and hunger has caused many children  to become stunted due to malnutrition. The United Nations (UN) are working to eliminate hunger and malnutrition by 2050, that means nearly 3 million lives has changed for the better.66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry across the developing world, with 23 million in Africa alone. Asia is the continent with the most hungry people -- two thirds of the world’s total. Southern Asia faces the greatest hunger burden, with about 281 million undernourished people. In sub-Saharan Africa the rate of undernourishment from 2014-2016 was almost 23 percent.

How long has there been world hunger?

The crisis of food price inflation is simply the most recent tip of a slow-moving iceberg. While food rebellions across the globe have only recently made headlines, governments have been promising to end hunger for over 30 years: 1974—500 million hungry people in the developing world. Poverty is the principal cause of hunger. The causes of poverty include poor people's lack of resources, an extremely unequal income distribution in the world and within specific countries, conflict, and hunger itself.

WHAT IS GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING:

Good health is essential to sustainable development and the 2030 Agenda reflects the complexity and the interconnectedness of the two. It takes into account widening economic and social inequalities, rapid urbanization, threats to the climate and the environment, the continuing burden of HIV and other infectious diseases, and emerging challenges such as noncommunicable diseases. Universal health coverage will be integral to achieving SDG 3, ending poverty and reducing inequalities. Emerging global health priorities not explicitly included in the SDGs, including antimicrobial resistance, also demand action.

Wellbeing is not just the absence of disease or illness. It’s a complex combination of a person's physical, mental, emotional and social health factors. Well-being is strongly linked to happiness and life satisfaction. In short, well-being could be described as how you feel about yourself and your life.
